Accor to Expand Ibis Family Portfolio with 3 New Hotels in Madrid in 2025
Accor is gearing up to enhance its presence in Madrid with the upcoming launch of three new properties under its Ibis Family brands: Ibis, Ibis Styles, and Ibis Budget. With these new additions, Madrid will welcome a mix of affordable and stylish accommodations catering to both business and leisure travelers.
The first to open will be Ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas, set to open its doors in March 2025. This 260-room hotel is located near Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport’s Terminal 4, making it a prime option for travelers seeking convenience. The hotel will feature modern amenities such as a restaurant, a rooftop swimming pool, parking facilities, and an airport shuttle service for added comfort. This property will complement the nearby Ibis Budget Madrid Aeropuerto, which opened in 2023 and is located just ten minutes south of the airport.
Next up will be Ibis Madrid Norte Las Tablas, which is slated to open in the third quarter of 2025. Situated in the Madrid Norte regeneration area, this hotel will offer 148 rooms across five floors. The development is part of the area’s larger urban transformation, which is rapidly evolving into a business hub, making it a perfect fit for both corporate and leisure guests alike.
Finally, Ibis Budget Madrid Albasanz will complete the trilogy, with an anticipated opening in the fourth quarter of 2025. Located in the Julián Camarillo business park, the 101-room hotel will be part of the MADBIT urban renewal project, providing affordable accommodations for travelers in a growing district known for its excellent transport links to the city center.
Currently, Accor boasts a robust Spanish portfolio of 96 hotels across its various brands, including Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Mercure, and the Ibis family. Additionally, the company has plans to expand further, with 11 new hotels slated to open in Spain over the next three years. Among the upcoming properties is the Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol, set to open next month within the La Hacienda golf complex, situated between Sotogrande and San Roque.
Accor’s continued investment in Madrid underscores the city’s rising popularity as a major European destination, attracting both business travelers and tourists from around the globe.
